John Waters is an artist, author, and filmmaker whose book Carsick: John Waters Hitchhikes Across America is now available in paperback. Waters’ 50 film oeuvre – which includes cult hits “Pink Flamingos” and “Hairspray” - will be honored the by British Film Institute in September.

Michael Render a.k.a Killer Mike is a rap artist and activist. His album as part of the rap duo Run the Jewels, “Run the Jewels 2,” dropped in October of 2014. In May, he published an op-ed in Billboard on the media’s treatment of racially motivated police violence.
