We all know college is too expensive. You know what’s even more expensive? Not going to college. Which is why someone should figure out how to make college less expensive.
Here are the latest figures, according to The Washington Post:
• The unemployment rate if you have a bachelor’s degree: fell from 3.3 to 3.2 percent.
• The unemployment rate for people with some college: fell from 5.7 to 5.5 percent.
• The unemployment rate for people with only a high school diploma: rose from 6.3 to 6.5 percent.
• The unemployment rate for people with no high school diploma: rose from 8.9 to 9.1 percent.
If your parents – or parent – isn’t well off, you likely don’t have the money to attend. Which means you’re less likely to get a good job, or get a job at all. If your parents are well off, then you get to go to college no problem, even if you’re an average student. Then you get to choose from lots of jobs. And the gap between the two Americas grows wider still.
