The Census Bureau released its voting data for last year's presidential election. Here's a big surprise that runs counter to a lot of what we've heard: Hispanics really didn't show up. Only 48% of eligible Hispanics did -- 16% lower than non-Hispanic whites and 18% lower than African-Americans.
The highest turnout of all the groups? Black women. Obama owes them his ass.
I don't think this bodes well for immigration reform. If Hispanics didn't show up last time, it makes Republicans a little less afraid of continuing to piss them off. Plus, in the end, they have to ask themselves, "Why make millions of more people who are likely to vote against you eligible to vote?"
